Copper (Cu)- hair

Indications:

Low hair copper is associated with low serum copper and high serum cholesterol. Hair copper is increased by oral contraceptives. Hiar copper does not increase in primary biliary cirrhosis and Wilson's disease and is hence not a good marker of excess body copper.
